Our understanding of how cities change is limited by high resolution spatiotemporal land cover data. Used Landsata imagery to map annual changes in urban extent at a 30 m resolution for 1985 - 2015 using Google Earth Engine. Fused 4 global urban-extent maps to get highly detailed data. Most new city land comes from developing agricultural land types.
